Spilsby Primary School is housed in modern buildings, standing within its own grounds of some 3 acres in a sheltered cul de sac - a peaceful and attractive environment. This area includes playgrounds, gardens, sports field, adventure play equipment and environmental areas.

From September 2001 there will be eight classes.

Where possible children are taught in single age groups. Teaching assistants support teachers in all classes.

Launchpad

We also have 'Launch Pads', which are special rooms, where extra help is offered to small groups of children by a teacher and teaching assistants.

Nursery

A Nursery is available for four year olds from January each year.

An out of school club is run at the school. It includes a breakfast club, after school club and a holiday club.

In September 2001 Spilsby Playgroup will be joining us at the school . Details about this are available from the school office or Mrs Paula Maycock on 07 714 554 533.

The school believes in offering pupils as many enriching experiences as possible.
For example

  • The whole school participates in the Lincolnshire Show
  • Year 4 make a residential visit to Gibraltar Point Field station
  • Year 5 make a residential visit to Kingswood Centre in Norfolk
  • Year 6 make a residential visit to London
  • All other year groups visit areas of interest

Extra curricular activities include athletics, choir, cross country, cricket, football, netball, rounders, table tennis, yoga, computer, chess, guitar, woodwind, violin.
