NICK HARPER
Son of legendary Roy Harper,
Nick Harper is one of the
country’s most exciting singer-
songwriters. Having grown up
in the company of legendary
musicians Keith Moon, Jimmy
Page, Robert Plant and Dave
Gilmour....., Nick got his
first major break supporting
Squeeze in the mid 1990s.
Since then he has released five studio albums, a double live
CD and 2EP’s, and is on the road for much of the year. His
shows are often a mixture of his own songs and well-known
covers of songs done in inimitable Harper style and include
everything from Led Zeppelin to Public Enemy. To this he
adds his own take on the world, biting political satire, and
charmingly caustic wit. Often compared to Rufus
Wainwright and Jeff Buckley, Nick Harper has been
described by Mojo magazine as “one of the fi nest guitarists
of his generation”, a singer with a “soaring vocal range and
a propensity for an epic song”.
