As 10 July is the last day of a week of celebrations for the VE anniversary, we had a loose wartime theme. The British Legion were involved, Margaret & Sam Jessop had a big display of memorabilia in the craft tent. Model soldiers were on sale. The Skegness War Games group with an example of a war game took place during the course of the day. There were war time vehicles in the Showground. The ATC had a big presence.

Park and Ride Service, donated free by Alan King, who spent the entire Sunday himself ferrying people from the Vale Industrial Estate to the Showground and back.

We also supported the first Spilsby Scarecrow Weekend, organised by the Spilsby Youth Centre, which was judged on Saturday 9 July, with the prizes presented at the Spilsby Show.

Kid’s Zone:
Bouncy Castle, Rides and Ballpool
Donkey rides, Face painters, Games
