The 4, 5 and 6 of June 2004 was the start of a biennial project to be called The Raithby Festival. A mixture of evening concerts and daytime events, including Open Gardens, teas, historic buildings plus crafts/gifts, memorabilia and bygones displays.

The evening concerts were held on Friday, 4 June with the popular Banovallum Singers with a wide range of classical opera and show songs. The evening included cheese and wine.

The evening of the 5 June will saw a complete contrast with swing music by The Blue Stones Band. People are encouraged to bring along something to sit on and plenty to eat and drink and have a Picnic in the Park.

On Sunday afternoon at 4pm there was a Hog Roast at the Red Lion and the weekend ended on Sunday evening with the Trinity Sunday Service held at 6.30pm in the Methodist Chapel.

This weekend gives you the opportunity to get a feel of what he meant.
